There are seven orientations that determine seven different planes that can be identified in all Platonic Structures. Three of these orientations determine three planes characterized by a square pattern (for the square lattice). The other four orientations determine four distinct planes characterized by a triangular pattern (for the hexagonal lattice).
There is always a direct correspondence between physical structure (the one being assembled) and the virtual model – available for you to explore on this site.
The links details (colors, lengths and orientations) of each node can be explored using the Node Details Dialog.
The GPS-like feature - the Find Location tool helps correlate the physical structure with the virtual model.
